The Doctors
- Dr. Troy A. Amdahl
- Dr. Todd J. Buchanan

"Being born and raised in Rochester, I appreciate and respect our strong medical community. However, while my wife was in college, a chiropractor was able to help her with a severe lifelong migraine complaint after she did not respond to years of traditional medical management. This single experience passionately motivated me to become a chiropractor. It also provided me with a clear vision of how chiropractors could cooperate with medical doctors for the benefit of patients. Since returning to Rochester in 1992, I have had the pleasure of seeing my vision become a reality. My wife Kris and I enjoy Rochester and have been blessed with four beautiful children, Maxwell, Joelle, Bennett and Alea."
"I believe a solid academic background is the cornerstone to providing quality chiropractic care. A strong academic background assists us as chiropractors in recognizing what conditions typically respond to chiropractic care and which require a medical referral. Many people do not realize the rigorous training involved in becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic. The seven years of my training have included courses in physics, anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology and pathology, just to name a few. The big difference between chiropractic doctors and medical doctors is that the chiropractor specializes in the spinal adjustment and other non-invasive therapies."

"I truly believe that when chiropractors and medical doctors can recognize what conditions can be treated most effectively with each type of therapy, patients benefit. This vision, along with increasing interest in alternative forms of therapy, has resulted in many opportunities to educate others on the topic of chiropractic care. I see continued communication leading to increased cooperation. As the different branches of health care learn more about one another, patients will reap the benefit."

"In addition to my training to become a Doctor of Chiropractic, I have earned certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. This additional training has allowed me to develop and implement rehabilitation protocols for not only athletes, but also for our patients who are interested in staying healthy once they have recovered from a musculoskeletal injury."

"I was born and raised in Southeastern Minnesota. A personal experience with chiropractic as a child fostered a desire to pursue my dream to become a chiropractor. After graduation from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1996, I was fortunate to return to my hometown to join Northgate Chiropractic Clinic. My wife Shelly and I now reside in Byron with our daughter Raquel and son Nash."
"I pride myself on educating the public regarding the many benefits of chiropractic care. Increased knowledge often leads to less apprehension when it comes to discovering chiropractic care. I am often found leading workshops and presentations for the public at our clinic, the health club, or other local businesses. I feel combining chiropractic education with treatment leads to increased compliance and, therefore, faster, more complete results. It is this formula that contributes to Northgate Chiropractic Clinic"s success."
"As member of state and national professional organizations, I can provide our patients with the benefits from an open exchange of ideas with fellow health care professionals. You, the patient, receive the true benefit from my affiliations - quality, up-to-date, chiropractic care."
