First Visit

Your First Visit

You are joining many of your neighbors and friends who have chosen the natural, drugless, chiropractic approach to good health. Whether you have been referred by a family member or friend or have been to medical doctors and did not obtain the results you wanted, congratulations on discovering chiropractic! After setting up an appointment and arriving for your first visit, you’ll enjoy the friendly staff and vibrant atmosphere. After completing some simple forms to help the doctor understand your health history, you’ll meet one of our Chiropractic Technicians. Our technician will review your health history, check the motion of your spine, check your blood pressure and perform some other basic tests. One of our doctors will then meet with you to determine if your condition is one that will typically respond from chiropractic care or requires a medical referral. Your reflexes will be checked, and other orthopedic, neurological, physical and chiropractic tests will be performed. X-rays of your spine may be taken to determine the extent of your condition and if arthritic or degenerative changes may be present. You may also be given self-help home instructions to offer you some relief.

Your Second Visit

One of the doctors will study the results of your tests, analyze your x-rays and compare that to your health history. On your second visit, all your questions will be answered including what is wrong, if chiropractic care will help, how long will it take, and how much will it cost. With a complete understanding of your condition, you are ready for your first chiropractic spinal adjustment. Adjustments help restore proper spinal function relieving nerve interference and allow the healing process to begin. Continued visits help retrain the soft tissues which surround and support the spine. Periodic examinations will help monitor the healing process.
