Our Doctors Are Accessible

Whether you are already a patient at Northgate or just interested if chiropractic care may be able to help you, our doctors invite the opportunity to speak with you at no charge to determine if you are a good candidate for chiropractic care. Additionally our clinic is open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm to meet the needs of our patient's demanding schedules.

Our doctors have a unique balance of experience with recent training in the latest research-based chiropractic care. The techniques utilized at Northgate are designed to be both safe and effective, providing a natural alternative to drugs or surgery for a variety of conditions and ages.

We Create Independence

For those patients who are interested, our doctors will customize and coach you through a program which is designed to increase muscle strength and create stability, thereby decreasing the need for ongoing care. This independence is created through a program which may include massage therapy (with certified massage therapists on staff), rehabilitation, nutrition, spinal care classes and lectures on stress reduction and how to maintain a healthful lifestyle. As an additional incentive to maintain optimum health, all patients of Northgate Chiropractic will have access to Northgate Health Club for a complementary 90 day doctor-guided rehabilitation program.

Fall 2008

 DR. ROBERT GUSTAFSON JOINS THE PRACTICE

We are happy to announce the addition of Robert J. Gustafson, DC, DIBCN to Northgate.  Dr. Gustafson will be joining Dr. Amdahl and Dr. Buchanan in providing patient care beginning August 19^th.  Dr. Gustafson brings with him over 10 years experience providing chiropractic care in the Rochester area.  Additionally, Dr. Gustafson has received post graduate training and is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist.  His experience and diagnostic subspecialty will be a perfect fit to the Northgate team.

ADDITION OF COLD LASER THERAPY

We have recently added cold laser therapy (also known as phototherapy) to the list of treatment options available at Northgate.  Phototherapy is a highly effective light or low level laser treatment that offers patients faster healing from injuries and reduced pain, without the use of drugs or invasive surgeries.  Originally developed over 35 years ago, this remarkable process uses light to penetrate the skin's surface and underlying tissues to stimulate the body's natural repair process, safely and easily.  Ask your chiropractor if you would be a good candidate to experience the many benefits of cold laser therapy.

EXPANDED HOURS:  NOW OPEN 9-5 EVERY SATURDAY

The addition of a third doctor allows us to provide a doctor on staff from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday.  Additionally, due to increase demand and the request of many patients, we have expanded our popular Saturday hours to 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

VITAMINS FOR KIDS PROGRAM

We have started a non-profit organization to help kids in need.  Last year, thanks to donations from patients and the community, we were able to raise enough money to fully fund 1 year of the program.  The most amazing part is that this was all raised with one simple letter posted in treatment room #1.  We were so grateful and moved by the generosity of our patients that we matched all donations dollar for dollar.  We included a copy of the letter posted in room #1 here.

ACUPUNCTURE

The addition of Dr. Gustafson provides us with a licensed acupuncturist on staff.  Acupuncture is routinely used effectively for the treatment of back pain, headache, migraine, chronic pain, and sports injuries.  However, acupuncture provides more than pain relief.  It is often helpful in treating anxiety, insomnia, digestive problems, abdominal, menstrual cramps, weight control, infertility and much, much more.  Acupuncture provides yet another natural (non-drug, non-surgical) treatment option to the patients at Northgate.
